About our Pork

Share will be available for pick-up October.

Our Pricing:

$6.50 per pound for a whole or half hog share. We ask for a $200 nonrefundable deposit to secure your share. Your deposit is taken off the final invoice made payable to the farm.

We try to butcher our hogs at 250 - 300 lbs (live weight). Once they are butchered and cleaned up, they lose about 40% of that weight (head, organs, etc). That leaves about 150 - 180 lbs for the whole hog (hanging weight). This is the weight that we charge you.

$6.50/lb on hanging weight, so for your ~180 lb whole hog, it would be $900 - $1200 to the farm, and remaining fees to the butcher for slaughter, disposal, cut and wrap fees.

Butcher Fee Breakdown:

  • Slaughter: $195 (pay half if half share)
  • Disposal: $25
  • Cut & Wrap Pork: $1.15/Lb. Hang weight
  • Curing, Smoking and specialty cuts have additional cost ($1.95/lb)
